Customized constructions

The FELA team will support you in all areas of your projects. Our specialists in the areas of mechanics and customized constructions have extensive experience in taking into account the special features of your vehicle fleet and are well-versed in the design of components which have to be installed under difficult conditions. We are constantly reviewing the combination of classical design and forward-looking technologies. The use of 3D printing technology enables us to visualise industrial prototypes in 3D and optimise for series production. You then get components for your fleet that our optimally adapted to your individual installation situation.

Our team has created the following customized constructions, among others, in the passenger information area:

• Vehicle-specific integration of passenger information components (TFT monitors, HMI operating panels, front and side displays, passenger intercoms)
• TFT monitor integration in the glass partition walls between 2nd and 1st class “Thurbo”
• TFT monitor installation frames in double-decker wagons – SZU refit (Sihltal-Zürich-Uetliberg Railway)”
• Ceiling-mounting for TFT monitors – SZU refit (Sihltal-Zürich-Uetliberg Railway)”
• Test systems for customer projects

In the ticketing area, it is also important for transport companies that new components can be integrated into existing hardware. Our designers have implemented, among others, the following projects for our customers:

• Configurations and fabrication of special cable harnesses for on-board computers according to customer specifications
• Conversion of existing ticket vending machines – installation of additional functions
• Adaptation of cabling/connection technology
• Adapter mounting plate with special cable harness for installation in vehicles – migration from driver sales device FSD5 to FSD6 (see photo at left)
