With the HSS 2501, FELA Management AG is introducing a new generation of emergency intercom units, developed strictly in accordance with the current RTE 40100:2024 “Passenger Emergency Equipment” standard. The compact device combines modern communication technology, a robust construction and clearly defined safety-relevant processes — perfectly tailored to the demanding requirements of public transport environments.
The functional and signalling processes of the HSS 2501 fully comply with the specifications of RTE 40100:2024. These include clearly structured emergency call sequences, defined status indicators and reliable hands-free communication with the control center or the train driver — essential for fast response times in critical situations.
The intercom operates via VoIP (SIP call) over LAN and is powered via PoE+ (802.3at). A tactile illuminated SOS button and multiple RGB LEDs provide clear and easily recognisable visual feedback on the current operating state at all times.
The solid metal housing made from aluminum and steel offers reliable protection against mechanical impacts and environmental influences. Key technical features include:

The dimensional drawings and cut-out diagrams in the technical documentation support smooth system integration.
An integrated web interface enables efficient configuration and maintenance of the intercom — ideal for day-to-day operation and rapid adjustments.
