Real-time data

Monitors in vehicles and at way stations inform passengers about the current timetable situation. Important in this context is that the information issued is based on real-time data. The passenger would like to be informed as to whether the desired connection is punctual or not and whether his connection with subsequent trips is guaranteed.

Interfaces from the control centre of a transport company to data hubs enable this processing of actual data and are therefore of considerable importance to transport companies.

The exchange of actual data is regulated in the provision VDV 453 DFI (Dynamic passenger information). The FELA passenger information system POIS provides an ITCS function for dispatchers, traffic managers and dispatcher managers that enables the visualisation of important vehicle data in real-time so that a fast and transparent disposition of vehicles is possible.
